Company

In 2003, Tobias Dörk and Arthur Materzok founded eBo Trade as an OHG. At that time the company had one employee and generated a turnover of 2.4 Mio Euro.

In 2008, the online mobile communications company Sparhandy merges with eBo Trade. Both businesses have already been cooperating successfully since 2003. Due to a strengthening of the financial structure, the improved utilisation of synergies and a better positioning in the market, this corporate merger leads to clear competitive advantages. Owing to a capital increase in 2008, Sparhandy holds a 34% share in eBo Trade. In 2008, the company name of the OHG eBo Trade was changed into eBo Trade GmbH & Co. KG with Tobias Dörk, Arthur Materzok and Sparhandy GmbH being the shareholders. Since its foundation, the eBo Trade company site has been Bochum. On 31st July, 2010, Sparhandy took over the remaining 66% of eBo Trade. The personnel structure remained largely unchanged. Tobials Dörk, the former managing director, stayed in the company being authorized signatory and purchasing and distribution manager. Arthur Materzok became head of international sales department.

After Sparhandy has taken over the remaining shares, the eBo Trade strategy has adapted to the overall corporate structure. In 2010, we thus crossed all consumer electronics and GPS devices off our list. Now we are exclusively focusing on marketing mobile communications A brands. Headed by Sparhandy GmbH, there are currently 22 employees working for the brand eBo Trade, which, in 2010, generated a turnover of just under 65 Mio Euro.
For the year 2011, we are not only planning to strengthen and expand our national but also our international sales and marketing activities. In this connection Europe is our focus of attention. Furthermore, we are aiming at increasing both, our market shares and sales and profit.
